The White Privilege Research Room
The White Privilege Research Room was a pop-up living room and research space hosted at Dream Farm Commons in August of 2019. Community members were invited to make appointments for an in-person interview that consisted of questions including (but not limited to):
What does white privilege look like?
What does white culture sound like?
What does white privilege feel like?
What does white privilege taste like?
What does white culture smell like?
This “comfortable place for uncomfortable questions” was created for casual investigations into the embodied experiences of white culture and white privilege and aimed to cultivate thought-provoking inner and interpersonal dialogue. Space and time was prioritized for Black womxn and womxn of color but all bodies were welcome.
